The Fourth Report of the Coordination Meeting with the Stakeholders of the 2019 Elections!
The Free and Fair Elections Forum of Afghanistan (FEFA) organized the fourth coordination meeting between relevant election-related bodies at FEFA conferences on 9October 2019. The meeting was attended by (11) representatives of institutions such as the Independent Election Commission, the Ministry of Interior, the National Bureau of statistic and Information, the Ministry of Women's Affairs and civil society organizations. But the ECC’s representative, despite promising to attend the meeting, did not participate in the meeting until the last minute. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Naeem Asghari, Program Manager of the Free and Fair Elections Forum of Afghanistan (FEFA), welcomed the participants and outlined the goals and objectives of the meeting and asked the participants to provide information on the activities of their respective election bodies. Subsequently, Dr. Mohammad Osman "Forotan", Deputy Director of Operations for the Independent Election Commission, provided the following information as per the agenda of the meeting: • The number of open Polling centers from which the IEC has data is about (4648) and the remaining being about six hundred and eighty nine (689) centers has No data; • Initial voter turnout in the (34) provinces was about two million eight hundred and fifty-four thousand (2854,000), which is not constant and are changeable; • Twenty-three thousand (23,000) datasets have been submitted to the intake section and are being Physically Checked and are by the end of Wednesday, 9 October, 2019. The figures will reach approximately (26,000), while the scanning process is in progress; • About twenty-two thousand Result Sheets have been uploaded to the IEC website for public to access;
