Press Statement related to unrealistic figures in vote count

Recently, some social network web pages with prejudice, abusing the name and credibility of the Free and Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan (FEFA), are broadcasting unrealistic figures regarding the vote count of October 20 elections in cyberspace, and disturb the public opinion. While not confirming any of these figures, The Free and Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan (FEFA), considers this act immoral, contrary to the law and prejudices in this regard. FEFA is a national civil organization, monitoring democratic process including elections in the country, and aims to provide transparency and raise public confidence in the integrity of this national process. Without a doubt, FEFA has recorded and monitored a number of irregularities, violations, and misconduct by its volunteer observers throughout Afghanistan, and after verification, these findings are supposed to be shared with election commissions, including the Independent Electoral Complaints Commission. We hope that our findings can contributor to electoral commissions in differentiating between clean and unclean votes. It is also worth mentioning that the process of collecting results from the polling stations, votes count, examining the reports and announcing the primary and final the results of elections according to the election law, is the functions and authority of the election commissions, and FEFA has only an observatory role in here, will from time to time share its monitoring and findings of the process with the people of Afghanistan. FEFA sincerely appeals to all citizens of the country, the candidates and their supporters, not lose their restraint and patience, and avoid using the name and credibility of this institution and wait for the responsible institutions carry out their jobs, in accordance with law until the final results are announced.
