FEFA held an awareness workshop on election for students of art Faculty of Kabul University

Women and Youth Outreach Department of FEFA held an awareness workshop on election for students of Kabul University in Art Faculty, where 30 students of Art faculty have participated in this program. The objective of this program was increasing youth awareness from electoral processes and youth political participation. The workshop began by presenting information about FEFA and objective of the workshop. Subsequently, program was started by open dialogue with students to assess their knowledge about the election and political participation and then a presentation about political participation, types of political participation, election and its concepts, types of election, conditions for voters, election management bodies, election observation organizations, electoral fraud and violation, and role of youth in election, was presented. Subsequently, participants asked many questions related the issues “why government didn’t conduct 7 kinds of elections which is coming in constitution law? What is FEFA‘s reaction when they observed voting polling center and they saw many fraud during the election? The facilitator of workshop answered about 7 kinds of election there are many reason such • Lack of budget “Afghan government is not able to conduct all those elections in country • Climate problems “in election law each kind of elections has its time line. Some dates are coming in winter so citizens are not able to take part in election period. About reaction of FEFA regarding the Frauds FEFA is an independent organization and in organization reports all frauds and technical problems which was happened in election period are mentioned and FEFA has it’s regularly advocacy for reform. At the end of the workshop a documentary film about the FEFA and its 2014 election observation mission was showed to the participants. The participants of workshop thanked FEFA for holding this workshop showed interest for working with FEFA voluntary in upcoming elections. It is worth mentioning that after workshop each participants find interest to take part in election
