Women constitute a substantial percentage of Afghan population. They play decisive role in political and social arenas. The laws have given equal rights and opportunities for both men and women without any discrimination. Political participation is senseless without women participation in political processes. Women presence in government and decision making processes is a principle of democracy which can push the country toward development and stability. The political system of Afghanistan has been made based on election and equal rights of all layers of the society. Both men and women have equal right to elect or be elected to elective seats in election. However, the Afghan constitution guarantees women rights but the efforts made by civil society organization to realize women rights are remarkable. FEFA as a civil society organization is intended to devise and implement cohesive programs to break the barriers before women political participation and strengthen women participation in political processes.
The following describes the workflow undertaken by the women's advocacy group to strengthen women's political rights to participate in the democratic process
